What is a Hair Treatment?

Procedure of hair dermatology, also known as TRICHOLOGY, being the science that specializes in the study, diagnosis and treatment of hair and scalp diseases.

The most common of which are:

•  Baldness: hair loss caused by genetics, known as androgenetic baldness.

•  Alopecia: abnormal loss of hair or other areas of the skin where there is hair, such as the eyebrows, beard, armpits, etc. that can be caused by various factors, such as genetics, hormonal changes, stress, autoimmune or lack of nutrients.

•  Seborrhoeic dermatitis: inflammation of the scalp causing redness, itching and flaking.

•  Dandruff: flaking of the scalp that can cause itching and discomfort.

•  Psoriasis: autoimmune disease that can affect the scalp, causing red, scaly plaques.

•  Infections: Caused by bacteria and fungi that affect the scalp and hair.

WHAT DOES A HAIR TREATMENT CONSIST OF?
It consists of the application of specific techniques and products, adapted to the personal needs of each patient.  Hair treatments may include:

•  Oral medications: being those administered orally to treat the underlying causes of hair loss and other scalp problems.

•  Topical medications: lotions, creams, shampoos that are applied locally to the scalp.

•  Laser therapy: Used to stimulate hair growth.

•  Hair mesotherapy: consists of the subcutaneous administration of small microinjections to nourish and stimulate hair growth.
